Can I get sued for making a Dragon Ball Z game?

I am not sure if I should be asking this but any useful answer will be appreciated. I am making a dbz game. Can I get sued? Is there any way to legally do this?

Your projects are copyright-free, and you can make a project about something that is copyrighted unless you plan to make money off of it. You should be fine.

I used to be active on the forums, but I have mostly moved past Scratch. I still do check my Scratch messages, so if you'd like to talk to me, just leave a comment on my profile. My main project on Scratch was Cookie Clicker, but my newest project is Snake Snake, a game based off of Snake, but with two snakes, and you can play either singleplayer or multiplayer.

You are in fact, allowed to make this, but just to be sure, at least credit them.

I do things like things, I have games like this, this, and this. You can also follow me with this, and you can go to Google with this

I think the worst that could happen would be your projects removed. The likelihood of even that happening is just about nil.

Maybe Eliza can help you decide?

With Scratch it's the site they'd go after, as they host the projects. So legal action would be against MIT. Their response would be to remove offending projects. Seem to remember something like that happening once before but it's rare and as said the worst that can happen is projects being removed.
Just give credit and don't try and make money from it!

Pokemon Uranium was sued as it was making money. On the Scratch site, you won't be making money from it, and you aren't claiming any rights to it. You would have to benefit from it, or make the company lose from it, and even so, your project would be taken down. You have no chance of being sued for it.

Paper Minecraft is a thing after all.
