Lego Stop Motions

You'll have to get a tripod or other camera/phone holder, take a picture, move the lego thing a little bit, and take another picture. I'm not sure how to import it into Scratch though.

Don't you need like a CD or something?

No. All you need is your webcam.

Set up the Lego scene.
Take a pic.
Move things a bit.
Take another pic.
Move things a bit.
Take another pic.

For smooth animation use 10 pics for each second, but you can get away with less if you don't mind the jerkiness.

After you end up with your folder full of pics., upload them to Scratch as costumes of a sprite.

??? What does the location of the camera have to do with anything? Buy yourself a $20 webcam that will plug into your MAC and you're ready to go!

Also, Amazon sells complete stop motion kits that include a camera and book if you want to pay a little more plus get some help.

There is also a book about specifically LEGO stop motion.

It also may be helpful to export the frames as gifs and then importing the gifs into scratch so that the frames are in order and it doesn't take a long time adding the costumes frame by frame.
