Scratch and Wedo 2.0

Has anyone had any success connecting Wedo 2.0 Smart Hub to Scratch?
I have 2 HP laptops with Windows 10 (both fairly new with Bluetooth LE, 4.0) and a Macbook Pro (also with Bluetooth LE).
I have tried each of them with 1.4 and 2.0 offline Scratch as well as the browser based version in Internet Explorer, Chrome (with and without plug-in) and Firefox (with plug-in? not sure any more - things started to get a bit hazy by then).
Anyway, nothing works. I add the blocks for WeDo 2.0, the little ball goes yellow for a while and then turns red.
It does connect with the WeDo software.
Yes, I've installed the Scratch device driver and yes, I've followed the instructions to the letter…

Nobody seems to be reporting any issues and everybody seems to be enjoying themselves with Scratch and WeDo 2.0. I feel like the sad teenager at the disco whose trouser-zip is broken so can't get up and dance.

Scratch and Wedo 2.0

Odd, I am having the same problem with my mac. A month or two ago it was working fine. Now, with scratch 2 v453 and scratch device manager 1.1.0 on my mac from the app store, I get the same yellow ball turns red issue that your report. The device manager just continues to tell me to go to blocks and “add an extension” even after I have done so. I also believe I followed all the steps and several attempts before and after rebooting my mac have all failed.

So it looks like you are not alone!

Scratch and Wedo 2.0

I am having a similar problem.

I recently upgraded from windows 7 to 10 on my Sony Vaio Laptop (approx. 5 years old) and am unable to pair/ connect the WEDO 2 via Bluetooth. As advised I am using a Low Energy Bluetooth Dongle (BLED112). I have installed the Scratch Windows 10 device manager and believe I have followed the instructions correctly.

Any ideas ?

It is driving me mad !!!

It's caused by net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED error in JavaScript.

You just have to set up you TCP/IP v.4 DNS address on the network adapter you are using (WiFi or wired). Try for example google's DNS 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 or any DNS address from your ISP.

I have also discovered that it's not working if an manual proxy address is in use.

After this setting browser and offline editor will work with WeDo 2.0.

Scratch and Wedo 2.0

Hello
I recently bought a Wedo 2.0 for my 7 year old
I managed to connect Scratch with WEDO 2.0 by installing S2BOT , I run under Windows 7
But I just logged in (have not been online for a whole) and I was forced to download an upgraded version of Adobe Flash its not working anymore
It is now asking for the device manager for windows 10 which offcourse will not work for me
Is there a way out?, its an old computer and will not able to install windows 10 on it

Hope there is somebody out there able to help
Many thanks

Scratch and Wedo 2.0

Again…
Just a note to say that I just don't understand why connectivity for Windows 7 users is not supported and we need to find loopholes (which now seem to be closed off as well). There must be still millions of computers that don't Windows 10, especially Schools!!! My Son is very dissapointed as he is loves Scratch and hIs WEDO 2.0 and software that comes standard with it is pretty useless.
