Someone is shipping my OC with random characters without consent
I've seen someone ship my Sonic OC, Floee the Fox, with random Sonic characters, even the female ones. This is driving me nuts and slightly offending me. I've sent a comment politely asking them to stop it, but they just made an excuse and went on.
What can I do?
Floee's romantic partner is supposed to be Silver, FYI.

Report the comments. In my opinion whoever is doing this is being extremely disrespectful.

This is me, and they're not random characters. You can ship who you please, and I can too. Think about it, you ship a lot of characters, and you're getting on me for shipping your character? How do you think SEGA feels about you shipping Sonic characters? How is that being disrespectful please explain.

I am not please with you shipping my character randomly. I never wanted that. I only wanted her to be shipped with Silver.

If you are shipping random sonic characters, that shouldn't be a problem. However, shipping an OC (which would be a character a user or person created based on a fandom) would not be respectful without their permission. In other words, those are two different problems that I don't think you all are on the same page on.

Well…. if you created the character yourself, you own “rights” to it. But anyone can remix and do whatever is scratch appropriate.

The thing that I've learned from being affected by/in fandoms is that when you make a character, people are going to ship it the way they want. In some fandoms, I personally tried to stop ships of characters I owned and never could. Lots of people don't like how it works, but it's just the way it is. It's a rough life.

If you really want to see if the ST can do anything, I would suggest Contact Us.
However, the only thing I can see this person doing that is objectively against the rules is disrespecting you.
It's possible the Scratch Team could get involved because using a character against the creator's will could be considered a problem with Intellectual Property. However, I would imagine this is not the case, because the IP in this case actually really belongs to SEGA. I don't really know how many rights a person has over a fan character - you should research that if you want to have any recourse in these situations in the future, on non-Scratch websites.
As it were, the ST generally doesn't actually care about copyright and friends on Scratch unless they will get in legal trouble.
Finally, I'm not entirely sure about how Fair Use applies to Intellectual Property, but I'm guessing its similar to other copyrighted stuff, which means that this person can continue to do whatever they want with your character as long as it is parody (and, of course, appropriate for Scratch).
Basically, talk to the Scratch Team and see if they think it would be right to intervene. That is basically your only option, and you should be aware of all the ways it might fail.
Please note that all the other things I've mentioned in my post could be overruled by the ST if they wish to - it's their website, and they are allowed to remove any content they want. It may be the case that the ST does not want anybody on this site to use the fan characters that others created without their permission, and in that case you would simply report anything like this that you came across, and the ST would remove it.

I don't really see how it's disrespectful. It's in the Scratch guidelines, I'm giving credit, e.t.c. However, the only thing I can see this person doing that is objectively against the rules is disrespecting you.

Based on what I am seeing, its not really respectful to ship a character that they made with other sonic characters. I'm sure that @PrincessPandaLover doesn't mind you shipping other characters, rather, she is bothered by the fact that you are shipping one of her characters she made without proper consent.I don't really see how it's disrespectful. I am quite troubled at the situation. Based on the license Scratch uses, you are allowed to remix anything without consent. However, dealing with a personal character someone created that prefers to not have her shipped is quite a different story. I am going to let the Scratch Team give way to this and see what they think.

I don't really seee anything different - if they didn't want others to use the character - then they should not have published ti under a CC-BY-SA 2.0 licence. I'm sorry, but I take the person who is doing the shipping's side. It is respectful. It was a risk they took by publishing it.Based on what I am seeing, its not really respectful to ship a character that they made with other sonic characters. Correct. She chose to publish the character under the CC-BY-SA 2.0 license, and as such, the person doing this can use the character. That's like telling someone not to remix something. While I'm of the opinion that it's best to respect the wishes of the person who made a character when it comes to its use, this is true. Remixing is a pretty important part of Scratch, and that's codified in the license attached to shared projects - I don't see any reason that this doesn't apply to characters as well. You should give Contact Us a ping; some other ST members might feel differently. I'm of the opinion that unless they're doing it specifically to antagonize you, they're within their rights to depict your character in any way they want that's consistent with the community guidelines.I don't really seee anything different - if they didn't want others to use the character - then they should not have published ti under a CC-BY-SA 2.0 licence. Then clearly you haven't heard of the internet.
So my suggestion is, deal like a proper adult and leave them alone.
Just block em.
I mean, what are they gonna do, ruin your life?
A bunch of kids?
So just leave em alone.
