About a few hours ago, the Scratch servers were having maintenance, then literally seconds later it was back up.

I got the server maintenance page again. What's going on?

Hello Scratch team

I work at Google Tel Aviv and every sunday we host a live Scratch class for 40 highschool students. Alas yesterday the servers went down for about 2 hours just before the class started and we had to cancel it = lots of kids with disappointed faces :-(
The class takes place evert sunday at 2pm Israel = 7am EST. BTW we use chromebooks so we can't use the offline editor.
- Was it a planned outage? if yes can you take us into account
- I saw somewhere that it's possible to deploy a private Scratch server. do you recommend to do it as a backup?

Uggggghhhhh, what is with the servers? Everyday for an hour it says they're “down for maintenance”…

They're not actually down for maintainence. The servers are just being unresponsive.

Just remember people, the more we donate, the better servers they get. Even a few bucks will help.
