Good way to update a project?

Is there a good way of adding new features to my project without having to:

  • Add all the new features in one sitting, and then “save” it.
  • Make a new project that is a copy of my old project.
  • Temporarily “un-share” my project, and then “re-share” it when I'm done.

Well, you could make a whole bunch of unimplemented elements by making the sprites hide and unclipping the rest of their scripts.

That's the only suggestion I can think of right now.

Actually, you don't have to do any of those. Just look inside it and change whatever you feel like whenever you feel like. Just save it after you make a change!

As @AonymousGuy said, just keep the new sprites and thing hidden, and keep their scripts unconnected to the block that would start them. When your ready to release the update, just connect the scripts and save.

Okay, I'll do that.

You can also make a copy so you have your original working project, while you work on the enhancements. Once you are in the editor (SEE INSIDE). Click the FILE drop down and hit SAVE A COPY.

I don't want to do that, because then my updates will be a whole separate project, instead of replacing the old one.

If you choose to download to your computer, make the changes to that file, and then upload from your computer into your existing project, it will update it and not create a new one.

I do this all the time so I have my existing project, backup files and a working file to update and alter into my existing project.

Latest project updated: X-Y Coordinates Challenge - 14 Jan 2014: Various improvements.

Great Idea, I'll do that from now on.
