The Button (a community experiment)

https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/119821067/

Rules:
- Each user has one and only one push
- Each push resets the timer back to 3600 (1 hour)
- If the timer reaches 0, the game is reset

Will you push the button?

Good luck :3

Well, the timer hit zero! Thanks to everyone who participated!

  • daffy1234 (pushed at 890 seconds)
  • darklava (pushed at 896 seconds)
  • candylanguagegirl (pushed at 750 seconds)
  • joshrawesome (pushed at 965 seconds)
  • studio42 (pushed at 1707 seconds)
  • codepong (pushed at 1654 seconds)
  • randomperson100 (pushed at 1724 seconds)
  • bananapieproductions (pushed at 1293 seconds)
  • haudio (pushed at 1474 seconds)
  • cwquestions (pushed at 1396 seconds)
  • benben360 (pushed at 200 seconds)

Now that the first round is over, what do you think I should do? I was given ideas, and I had a few of my own.

  1. Make the game reset at 0 (in other words, make it endless) and have a counter for how many times it reset (suggested by Studio42)
  2. Add a counter for the number of seconds the game has been running.
  3. Maybe increase the limit to an hour instead of 30 minutes.

Does anyone have any other ideas?

I'd set it to about 2 hours- especially since the US contains a little less than half of scratch users and not many will be on at midnight. Can past participants participate in the next round?

Maybe 2 hours, and it doesn't reset to two hours but it adds two hours?

That's a good point! I'd like to balance it so it's quick enough to be exciting but not too quick to run out too quick. It's tricky And yes, of course

I made a few changes. I changed the time limit to 1 hour (3600 seconds), made it reset on 0 (so it's endless), and it keeps track of how long the game has been running, and it keeps track of the record for how long it's ever ran. Tell me what you think

Also, I'm pretty bad with grammar, so be sure to nag me if I made a grammar mistake in the variable names
