Soooo nanalan is working on a dark theme for the scratch website and I really liked it, but it's a userscript and I don't like userscripts. It got me in the mood to do some userstyling, and one thing led to another, and now we have



Working title.

It's a slick, dark theme for the Scratch forums! And it's now quite usable and fancy! Enjoy!

Finished forum posts so it's somewhat usable now. Still very janky, unpolished, and filled with hacks and !importants.

Check out those icons in the lower right. Those icons, and the icons on the thread listing, are from Google's material design icon font.

Pretty! For me the posts are white though.

Yes. First I installed it with Greasemonkey and then the posts were white. It's fine with Stylish.

Probably for userstyles - it doesn't make much sense.

Userscripts are heavier and they also have the problem when, while the page is loading, you see content with the regular style and then it switches over.

Also why use a whole userscript to just inject a style or two? It's like using a wrecking ball to hammer a nail.

I'm also really bad at Javascript, so, there's that. But I might add an optional userscript “addon” later if I feel like it's needed to do some things CSS can't do (for example, syntax-highlight the post edit box, or distinguish posts made by the thread OP or a moderator)
