Reporting Glitches in Scratch 2.0

Thanks for helping to report bugs and glitches!

The first thing to do before reporting is to see if the bug is already reported! Our bug tracker is here:

You can pop a word or two in the search, and see if an “issue” similar to yours comes up. If it's not there and there's not a thread about it in the forums, (or even if it is there, but you have something to add) make a new topic to tell us about it.

Here's a list of info that's very helpful to have in bug report post:

Please be sure and include:

1. A link to the project showing the problem (or the name of the project if you don't know how to make a link)

2. Any directions we will need to see the problem. Example: Jump off the top platform and the guy freezes…

3. Which browser you are using. Example: Chrome, IE9, FireFox

If you are reporting tons of bugs, you could save time and energy by just keeping this info in your sig, at least while we're still in testing / bug fixing mode.

The only bug I've found so far is the fact that whenever I try to put an image in my signature I get “internal server error”.

Yeah; that only happens for images not in the host whitelist. You can't add them anyway, but it should give you an error message, not a 500. I'll go fix that.

Here's a bug for ya:
On 2.0 alpha, when I go to My Page it shows my icon from several months ago. Everything else shows my current icon. Weird or what?
EDIT: It also happens when I comment.

Hello I have been having problems drawing a sprite. When I try to use the fill tool it fills the entire thing. When I try to draw it keeps showing little circles that prevent me from drawing.

Shift-click the sprite.

I am unable to post new topics because I keep getting an Internal Server Error. IE8, Windows 7.
I am experiencing an editing bug: when I try to edit a background the text isn't there on a project which I have imported from the hard drive (I've been adding to it in 1.4 for ages). The text does appear in the player, so the project isn't affected (so it's not a worrying bug) but I can't edit the text.

EDIT: Just been able to post the topic.
