Colour Divide Fanfiction Story: Kristie
Okay, I love the idea of the Colour Divide so much I made a story about it. It's about a girl named Kristie. The story is in first person.
Sometimes I wonder to myself, is it possible? After all these years, is it still possible to make them my friends. I don't think so, they're probably already sick and tired of me trying to join in. The people at my orphanage are really cruel. They ignore me, pretend I'm not there. Even the Orphanagers don't like me. They all hate me. I have to wake up early every morning, get out of the building, and make a living out on the streets. I come back late at night, when everyone's asleep. Sometimes I oversleep, it annoys me since I want to get out of there as soon as possible.
There are also bullies. Not just other twelve year olds, anyone who sees me on the street either ignore me or, mostly from ages 15-17, mock me. I don't blame them though.
I have a rare condition, I forgot what it was called, but I have my left eye blue and my right eye green. It can make passer-bys stare. I also have something else, I have traits of Autism. I cry when I'm angry, frustrated or even when things don't go my way. That's what makes me a bigger target for bullies, That's what makes everyone hates me. I'm trying to fit in, but I think they think that I'm trying too hard.
I also don't have any memories of my family. All I have from them is a yellow scarf, I've had it for as long as I remember.
It was the exams day. I was so nervous, I didn't know which colour I was to be put in.
“Hey, guys. What colours do you think you would be?” I said to my group of ‘friends’. They're not exactly my friends, more of people I stand around so I don't look or feel lonely.
“I bet I'll be in purple,” said Jenna.
“Isn't it violet?” asked Mary.
“Same thing, really,” Jenna casually replied.
Just then, Jenna's name was called up. “Bye!” she said to the group.
They all replied with a goodbye.
Moments passed and soon it was my turn. No one said bye to me, I'm not very noticed a lot.
I had to place my hand on a pillar. I was quite strange, since I didn't know what would happen.
I was in a room. A small, dark room that was as quite as page turned in a book. I felt my heart pumping, it was tense. Suddenly, I saw a flicker of light. In the corner of the room, there was a flame. It shone, beautiful and a bit hypnotising. I was so distracted that I went into focus once it grew into a fire. Oh no, a fire! I guess I have to try my magic, I thought to myself. My magic was the only thing in my life that kept me determined. I practised every day. I bet I'll get violet, or maybe indigo? I concentrated very hard. I saw the magic come from my hands, it made them wet. I aimed and shot the fire with my magic, turning my magic into water. The fire grew, all the walls were burning. I was suffocating, I had to focus really hard. I put out all the flames in the end. I took deep breaths.
“Congratulations. You earned blue rank,” said the booming voice as blue wristbands magically appeared on my wrists.
I was taken out of the room. I couldn't believe it. I got blue. I started to cry. I practised really hard every day, and all I got was blue? No one else cried, even the people who got red. I hate myself for being like this.
That is the story up til now, anyone can role-play with me in the studio. Hope you liked it!
