Introduction And Help!
Hello everyone of scratch!
If you are new to scratch, I am so glad you could join! And I promise, it was not a mistake
So, you will need a proper introduction to begin. In scratch, if you haven't already noticed, we use ‘blocks’ to program games, presentations, contests, AMVs, Coloring contests, DTAs, and more! These blocks would look something like this:
You can do anything on scratch, the only limit is your imagination.
You obviously have already made it to the discussions board, where we can talk about problems, suggestions, and other things! Why don't you get started by making your first post? Click the reply button below to say hi!
Now, you must know the basics of scratch. You have your own profile, where you can edit your profile picture, featured project, about you and what your working on, and more!
Another thing you can do on scratch is see other's projects. You can love and favorite a project, as well as remix it, with your own ideas.
We also have these things called ‘studios.’ In studios, you can create anything from dense role-plays, to just a place to chat with your friends. You can create a studio or curate someone else's, as well as follow a studio. If you are a manager of a studio (Which you automatically are when you create one) you can edit the studio title, description, icon, and invite people!
Now, on to the most important thing of scratch: Your OWN projects. You can program them however you want, give them a name, instructions, and even notes and credits.
Last but certainly not least, other scratchers. You can view their profile, follow them, and get followers yourself.
Now that you know all the basics of scratch, why don't you get out there and make your first project? Have fun!
