It would be great if there would be an option to disable the annoying “Make it Fly!” banner on the homepage. I would be OK with the banner, if it didn't have Power Girls (or whatever it's called) on it.
EDIT: Some people cannot see the banner yet, if you can't, try restarting your internet router and your internet browser.

For some reason, changes to the site don't appear for all Scratchers. That's what happened when some people could not see the new homepage.

It looks like the ST will have banners for more things in the future, like SDSes. Support to be able to dismiss the banner, which will make it disappear until they change it.

What? That is not what I am saying.
I support this and was saying that it is not to remove it I then added that the banner being there makes it so less people will see Featured Projects because when the page loads you don't see it anymore without scrolling down.

I would like to see a button to dismiss the banner. Support.

However, I do think the banner should only appear to visitors not logged in and recently joined New Scratchers. The banner looks like it has been designed to inspire newcomers browsing the site, rather than returning members with accounts who are already aware of what they can make with Scratch.

To see the banner: Do CTRL-F5 in your browser to force reload the page.

Just something to add: If you use AdBlock, the banner won't show up. I didn't even know the banner was there until I disabled it.
