This is very cute- An X button would be helpful, as it takes up a lot of space and sort of squishes the rest of the homepage, but it is a great idea! Maybe in the future you could have an animated banner, as that Taco would be a lot cuter if it moved x3
I think that a Summer-related, Nature-related, ocean-related, platformer-related, maze-related…. Etc. etc… Future banner/studio would be fun. Since mazes are probably the easiest type of game to make, with lots of different ways to make them, if that was actually a featured studio sometime, it'd be cool and help a lot of new Scratchers learn basic coding (Although there's technically tons of other ways- The entire website is built to be easy to access and it's pretty easy to ask for help if the tutorials don't help you) and some nature-related ones for Earth Day 2017 or something like that would be amazing.

I already voiced my input on this new addition to Scratch on my profile, and here's what it says:

Well, Scratch implemented a new banner on the front page today. Initially, I thought it was an ad, but I noticed it was a nice introduction to Scratch for new viewers/users. I hope this further improves the first impression of new people when they visit Scratch! (Not that Scratch is bad-looking or anything like that.)

In other words, I can't wait to see what else will be added on the banner in the future! Perhaps April Fools Day and new emoji notifications would be neat.

So, here's another Cartoon Network-Scratch collaboration. I, and many other people on Scratch, would absolutely love it if they could do something with Steven Universe.
