I wanna work with some other scratchers on a project. I want to make my first real game. I have been tinkering around with this program for a few years and I want to make something bigger than what I have done before. All I have right now is a general idea. The game will be an RPG about a box-like machine in space. I need help to make this project, and so I will list the positions that I need:
Coders: will do all coding for the game. Open! 3/4 minimum
Level Designers: will design all levels for the game. Open! 1/4 minimum
General Designers: will design things such as scenery, power ups, health bars, etc. Open! 2/4 minimum
Character Designers: will design characters and/or redesign main character. Open! 0/2 minimum
Music Designers: will design music for the game. Open! 0/2 minimum
Testers: will test the game during certain beta stages. Open! 1/? minimum (as many as apply, if there isn't too many)
Story Designers: will create story. Open! 2/4 minimum

We really need some level designers and general designers, please, if you would like any of the jobs listed, apply. You will most likely get in.

If you want to work in this project you need to be respectful, work well with others, be active in the project, and do what you want to apply for well.

If there is any positions you think there should be or you would like to apply or there are any reasons to contact me, you can reply to this topic or email me at (removed by moderator - please don't share email addresses) the basic criteria you should include if you would like to apply is your username, your roles you would like to apply for (2 max), how actively you will work on the project (once every 4 days minimum), and how much experience you have as a scratcher.

hmm… I can't really think of anything specific you need to do, but you do need to be able to work well with others. other then that, I can't think of any other requirements.

well, you can write down any ideas you have for a story and I can save them to a file, and you can work on any code if you want, download it, and send me the file. you can edit a file I will send you with the main character. this game will be a platformer with a medium/light story, and that's all I've figured out what to do about it yet. let me just add you to the project, and I will also attatch a file to an email I can send to you if you want to start coding.

A platformer…? Have you even tried making one of those before? I did….

well, this is very early into the process and the type of game can change now. If you find it easier we could change it into an RPG perhaps.
Since I want to make this from scratch (no pun intended) I don't want to use any tutorials or existing engines, so it would be fine to change the game style for the ease of the developers.

Yeah, something like that would be fine. Is there any basis I can work off of?

well, I suppose if it's going to be an rpg I want it to be a turn based RPG with random encounters. I think I would want it to be set in space, on a spaceship long abandoned far in the future. many years after their creation, machines with a powerful A. I. start to turn back on. I'm not entirely sure what else I would want to have yet. It might have some earthbound-ish dialogue, other than that I'm not sure if I want to base it off of anything specific.

ok. you can work on it whenever you want, there isn't really a schedule. if you want to contact me at a random time it would be best to email me, as that is my main form of contact.

hi, sorry I couldn't respond sooner. I don't think I should need any cloud bits, so it should be fine. let me know what job(s) you would like, how often you can work on the project, and how experienced you are. make sure you read all of the main post.

@Spontaneous08 I have your first assignment. you know how in yoshi's island if you let it keep going it tells you about the game? I want you to make that for this game. just write it down and email it to me whenever you are ready.

So the starting bit with the frame and pictures telling the story? I just watched a playthrough of the first part.
Also, what will the story be?
