i was wondering how do you make it so if you press certain keys it can toggle the sound on/off?

Use these blocks.

when [m v] key pressed //M, for mute. you can change it though
set volume to [0]%
wait until <key [m v] pressed?>
set volume to [100]%

Comeback time? Maybe?

This would do what you are after

when [up arrow v] key pressed
set volume to (100)%

when [down arrow v] key pressed
set volume to (0)%
