This is probably the reason behind people losing their projects, and the project editor freezing.

1. When you go onto another tab while the project is autosaving, the project editor will freeze for a few minutes and become unresponsive.
If you close the tab and attempt to go onto the Scratch website again, you may get the 502 Bad Gateway message. (Glitch)

2. There seems to be an coding mistake on costumes, when you click on the costumes button, the “Save Now” text is shown, and you haven't even edited anything yet. (Bug?)

3. I would like to save at my own time, not the Project Editor, What really should be added is a feature to turn it on or off. that way, you can save at your own pace, or autosave will save it for you. (Suggestion)

Number 1 is pure speculation as it may not happen to others.

1. That's not a bug for me, and the 502 bad gateway is when it's peak time on scratch and the servers cannot handle the load
2. Technically, yes you have, when you click on a costume it switches the costume the sprite is currently using and it saves the sprite in that position, so no this isn't a bug.
3. This… yeah, has been suggested before and I can never remember the reasons why it was rejected, maybe a forum search may turn it up.
