How to hack your own magic custom blocks

How would you make a dropdown have custom items in?

e.g. Up, Down, Left, Right

How to hack your own magic custom blocks

Project takes too long when loading with this hack.

EDIT: No, actually when I tried this hack it just stayed the same as without the pulldown.

EDIT: This time it works right, but I don't know where you put the options in the pull down list.

This is a cool hack, but my concern is that when anyone who doesn't know what you've done (or how you've done it) tries to view your project, they won't be able to understand your scripts - they won't even make sense.

I wouldn't mind at all if this was being done only with downloaded, local projects. But these are public, shared ones, that people are likely to “see inside”.

Any thoughts on the issue?
well lightin could it be possible too if someone could create a virus block?

thanks! and you win!
yeah it is easy, all you do is input a join block for strings to be there.
Yep, you can literally put any reporter block in there and it will work as intended. A join block would even let you slip any block in with the editor, nice idea!

:' D
you guys didn't show the
item (1) of (variable) block,
so after mucking around with the code from the block you did give me, and with the item of list block i managed to hack it!
my first scratch hack, i feel so proud
congrats! fifty virtual waffles for you:

Do “procDef” and “call” have to be the same?
I'm not used to Scratch 2.0 editing Just 1.4
scripts": [[93, 80.95, [["procDef", "lol this is so cool", [], [], false]]],
[52, 215.95, [["call", "lol this is so cool"]]]],

So procDef means protocol definition? And call is the block so I probably should edit the procDef and leave the “call”? I don't get it

This is so awesome! And BTW you don't have to rename the thing, Scratch can read .zip files

Doubt it. Usually means procedure definition.

well, I don't know if they work, but you can do this in the editor without editing the JSON
