The only thing that bothers me is that it uses the VLC Media Player. Pls make it choose between Windows and VLC

Only one minute? I dont know how much I can record with that
EDIT:
Also if you guys want to record your projects you can just install a free recording software (example : Bandicam) It's that easy.

But can't VLC media player void your computer's warranty and damage your speakers?

Pretty legit, but I still would like some sort of collab mode, so that multiple Scratchers can collaborate on a project. Hey Scratchers,
We have a number of updates to share with you all:
Scratch conference page update
Updates to Jobs page
Updates to FAQ page
and…
Record Project Video feature!
Yes, you can record a video of your Scratch project up to 60 seconds. In the Scratch editor, from the File menu, select “Record Project Video.” (You need to be signed in to see this option.) You can choose additional recording options (such as recording sound and mouse clicks) through the “More Options” menu. Then, run your project however you'd like. Once the recording is done, follow the instructions to download the file to your computer. Depending on what kind of computer you have, you may need to download another program like the VLC Media Player to play the file. This file will run on YouTube, Vimeo, and Facebook, but may need to be converted for other websites like Twitter or Tumblr.

Good idea…but I don't like it much. When it is recording there is no sound, and also the problem is that it said I needed to install some thing to save it, I clicked that, and it said “Microsoft Edge has blocked you from this permission” or something like that.

cool! You could also use Quicktime Player on Mac to record the project part of the screen and you can turn the volume up, too, to record it. I'm not sure about Windows, though.

I tried it out, and it's awesome! Quick question, though. Why only 60 seconds and why does the project stop after those 60 seconds? Can I start the video partway through? Thanks.

This is a great new feature, thank you so much for pushing it out. I think the next best would be a shortcut key or combination so you could start recording midway into a Scratch project. Would be cool if there was a Record Video block to trigger the start of video recording inside a Scratch program!
