Storyline

Start: You choose you class and name. You press play.

Tutorial: The game starts with an animation with the guards of the tree being killed. You play as the last one left. The enemies (Voids or creatures - the weakest ones come for you) You have a brief tutorial and are given a weapon. You fight the enemies for as long as you can but are eventually killed. The enemies steal the tree.

Mission 1: You are a new recruit in the army, Your squadron is assigned to win back the tree. You go with them and fight off some enemies while you march. Your squadron goes to find shelter with the dwarves nearby. The you are attacked there and most of your squadron dies. The dwarves pity you and give you some armour. You have to continue the quest alone.

Mission 2: You are alone and have to fend for yourself you are attacked by the Voids and fight them off, but their general, a Firo, survives. You are pursued by the Firo's army and are taken prisoner. However, the enemy are ambushed by the Finars who set you free.The Finars are not friendly towards men, they are mainly independent, but have a common enemy. You spend the night with the Finars, and receive some enemy weapons.

Tell me if this is OK. If your player dies you have to restart the mission.

I like this, but I think it would be more fun if you were never in an army from the start. The tree should be inhabited by spirits and you see it being attacked and you try to help even though you are inexperienced. You are knocked unconscious and when you wake up the tree is destroyed. The spirits tell you that you are the one meant to save them so you go on a quest through the whole world while all its inhabitants are oblivious to what is going on. All they know is that the trees all around the world are slowly dying being the spirits than inhabit them are not being supported by the magical tree. Enemies are also running rampant throughout the world destroying things and you have to stop them along to the way to defeating the necromancer.

OK. So have the same plot but you are alone the whole way.

yes, and the tree has no human guards.
it is protected by tree spirits but the firos burn them down.

We need to come up with a name for the RPG, even if it is just temporary and we change it later. That way the collab looks more official and I can make a signature for it.

Alright, you are accepted. We don't need any programmers currently but we do need lots of ideas.
Look at the tasks to see what we need on the first post.

I've made a signature for the collab and I also made an outline of the plot on the first post. I've changed a few things and added a few things, too. Let me know if you like it or not.

I think you should be able receive help from people. Maybe you go to the village blacksmith and you can buy new weapons?

Enemy Idea: Narois. These are tough, fighting men from a northern nation. They are to strong for the evil guys to control, but they are acting as mercenaries for them. They are slow but have high attack strength and health. Near the end of the game you convince them to destroy the sorcerer and they help you in the final levels.
