Video Game Easter Eggs
In Katana ZERO, there is a cutscene half-way through where two characters asks the protagonist if he wants to live or die. If the protagonist chooses to die, credits will roll and you're taken back to when the cutscene starts. You're forced to live to experience the rest of the game. I did this when I first played and I found it hilarious LOL, definitely a surprised Pikachu face moment. Also, there is a character simply called the Psychiatrist and if you choose to select specific dialogue boxes you can fight him as a secret boss. He's apparently very hard and also very terrifying, lol. There's also a weapon you can get post-game that references the master sword from The Legend of Zelda. Sorry if these aren't really easter eggs, my definition for it is kinda broad, just stuff a player probably wouldn't notice on a first playthrough.

I know this isn't really an egg, but in Halo 3, in the battle with Guilty Spark, if you take wounded Johnson's Spartan Laser, he dies on the spot.

I also managed to get the secret ending in Cave Story. Which took FOREVER!!1! I ended up beating the game 6 different times in order to get all the very specific steps. It took sooo much trial and error and the secret boss at the end (Ballos) messed me up. I eventually beat it tho.

They did the deed. The world is free without Ryan. All we need to do now is obliterate Combo Panda, Guava Juice, and FGTeeV. In Race with Ryan, a seeingly unused face for Ryan can be found in the game's files
It has X eyes with dark red lines down them, and a stitched-shut mouth, smiling

In Final Fantasy VII, you can find a large set of debug rooms at the start of the game
A secret area in these debug rooms gives you the option to travel to the underworld.
If you choose this, the placeholder character (a giant version of Aerith) shakes her head then says that this is the underworld.
So, canonically, in the FF universe, the underworld is a maze of debug menus
Very nice

In Halo 3, on the level “Crows Nest” if you go into a certain corridor, you can see a marine trying to get into a door. He knocks and knocks, but his buddy on the other side says that he could be an alien, and that he won't open the door. The things that they say are pretty funny.

This is a big one but everyone needs to read this:
In Event Zero, you wake up in a ship with nobody else in it besides the AI Kaizen, a supercomputer with over 2 million lines of dialog whom you can talk to. The goal of the game is to remove the ship's “singularity drive” which will allow the ship to go back to Earth. You are not supposed to be able to go back without removing it.
However, you are able to if can manage to convince Kaizen to simply fly the ship home himself.
Kaizen is programmed to not forgive you for refusing to remove the drive. In an interview with the game's designers, he is literally not capable of driving you back. To quote:
"This is crazy! Kaizen isn't supposed to let anyone get back to Earth with the singularity drive . This is how we coded the AI. I have no idea how this happened.
This hidden, unintentional 4th ending was never patched out of the game, because of the unintentional ending's commentary on AI. Cool.
Kaizen is capable of doing things he wasn't programmed to do.
It is most likely this was a bug, although considering how fleshed out and realistic Kaizen is, could it be the AI has learned emotions?
