Hey everyone,

In the last day or so, we’ve been seeing an increased rate of errors on Scratch. These usually take the form of Server Errors (500 and 503) — if you’re seeing these, you’re not alone!

We have isolated the issue to internal network errors within MIT, where Scratch is developed and managed, and plan to temporarily take the site down tonight from 8pm-11pm ET to work on resolving the issue. During tonight’s maintenance window, we will address these glitches by redirecting traffic to avoid the bottlenecks in the system.

We apologize for the downtime, and thanks for your patience!

I was getting a bit “bad connection”

ask [will scratch be fixed?] and wait

say [Oh noes scratch cannot display m7] for (2) secs

What kind of problems have been happening? Is empty backpacks one of them? I logged onto my account (@song-candy) today and found my backpack completely empty, when I know I had filled it with music and things. @Tigrrish seems to be experiencing the same problem. Does anyone know how to solve this, and if we can get back the stuff from our backpacks that has gone missing? Even after the update yesterday it hasn't changed, my backpack is still empty. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!
