What Happened to the Featured Project?

So, today, I logged onto Scratch via my iPad. I saw the featured project: Semi-Realism Tutorial. I had to leave for somewhere after I saw it, and promised myself to look at it later. But when I got home, it was off the home page! Can someone tell me what's going on?

The Notes and Credits did say that she didn't want anyone to remix it, so she probably unshared it to prevent remixing.

Don't you hate that moment when you have no ideas for a signature?

I just checked her profile…it says she committed suicide.

Well, it seems I had to do a lot of research into this topic. Mind you I'm only providing unbiased information; I not trying to create drama.

I managed to find an archived version of the front page from early morning and that's how I figured out what this topic was about. The project JSON and comments are still retrievable, but the project notes, its remixes and affiliated studios are not. I noticed there are a few comments that are left unreported or are rude in some way; that may have contributed to it being unshared.

The user's profile is also wiped clean and comments are disabled. Projects are gone, about me and WIWO are [removed]. However, I did manage to find out what the about me and WIWO were previously. Obvious report material.

I astutely noticed that the user's icon looked like stretched text; enlarged, it reads:

So I guess this is what the appeal looks like, and by the seriousness of the tone, we probably should not discuss this any further. We should respect the user's privacy and not go any further into questioning them or the ST about the problem. Regardless if what they said/did was a joke or not.

Also, wrong link, it's imalive.org.

It's a tough thing to believe that happened on a whim, for something as petty as disliking remixes… For the time being, let's not assume the worst has not happened and move on.

As a long time Scratcher, I have found new meaning to the name “Scratch”: for me, it means to “scratch that itch”, to come back again and again to realize new ideas in this toy language, even when I'm capable of creating my projects in real programming languages years later. It's a friend that helped me to pursue programming and get me to enjoy its fruit. I'm certain many others who have walked this path as well have grown fond of its importance in their life.

If you still want to view the project, use this link.

It's links to a tool that people on the “Advanced Topics” forum made that allows viewing of unshared projects.
I got the project ID by searching “Scratch Semi-Realism Tutorial”; since it's a featured project, Google has got to have a cache of it before it was unshared (and it did).

Let's not continue talking about what exactly happened to the user.
The ST removed the “About Me” and “What I'm Working On” for a reason, so don't keep spreading the news (speculation or not).

hOI! If you enjoy endless dodging games, you might like “MEGALOVANIA” or “Dodge This”! :3
