I've done nothing there, because I don't have a browser that allows me to do that, like a Tor-based browser, but I know quite a bit on it. Also, many sites on the deep web are illegal sites that should be removed. But, browsers like Google just can't detect it, because it either isn't linked to anywhere, is password-protected, etc. Also, the pages have .onion on the end of it. I hope to have a look sometime.

Yeah, the sites on there are pretty ****** up. The site I think that should be removed the most, would either be the hitman network, the silk road, or the monkey house… I've done nothing there, because I don't have a browser that allows me to do that, like a Tor-based browser, but I know quite a bit on it. Also, what's up with the .onion thing. I would use .anchovies

I think the onion addresses are just like a way that Tor gives you to get to the sites inside the deepweb.
The internet can also be seen as an onion, the Marianas Trench or as an iceberg. The top part of the trench (or the outside of the onion or the visible part of the iceberg) are all the sites we can access with normal browsers, the deeper you get, the more you need, just like the real trench. Actually the deepest part of the web is called Marianas Web.

Strictly speaking, I operate many websites on the deep web. For example, the various admin pages on my website are part of the deep Web, as they are not linked to from anywhere.
If you are referring to the Dark Web, yes, I've been to some onion websites before. Nothing illegal, just some websites where the author wants security and anonymity, such as Quantum Magazine, where I downloaded the Ashley Madison data dump.

IIRC, the deep web is just websites that aren't easily available or can't be found by web crawlers, so unlisted YouTube videos, webmail, upload pages for DA/Scratch etc.Wat does tat have 2 do with teh thread??? I've logged into Gmail.
The dark web is stuff that needs tor etc.

Actually, it's available through BitTorrent. The magnet link is on the dark web (but that specific page has been mirrored and linked to elsewhere.)Ashely Madison was hacked and the private info of millions of users were leaked out onto the Dark Web.Nothing illegal, just some websites where the author wants security and anonymity, such as Quantum Magazine, where I downloaded the Ashley Madison data dump.Checks out.
Also, it's not illegal to play with the Ashley Madison data as long as you aren't using it to defraud.

Classic comp09. Why am I not surprised? Strictly speaking, I operate many websites on the deep web. For example, the various admin pages on my website are part of the deep Web, as they are not linked to from anywhere.

Discussing the shady part of the web doesn't really seem like a good fit for Advanced Topics to me as it isn't discussing programming at all. Per the main index: “Talk about technical aspects, advanced features, or Scratch Mods here”
