Full Metal Jacket

Just watched this movie a few days ago. It was great! For those who have seen it, discuss! If you haven't, then you should see it, but probably when you're older. It's pretty violent and and morbid and it has this sort of humorous and whimsical tone at the first half.

Let's hope this stays up. I always felt that Kubrick had a war trilogy of sorts. First was Paths of Glory, next was Dr. Strangelove, and last was Full Metal Jacket.

I've never seen Dr. Strangelove actually, though I've heard many many good things about it.

So far, Full Metal Jacket is the second Kubrick movie I've seen next to 2001: A Space Oddysey.

Dr. Strangelove is a very dark comedy. And it has some great quotes in it. And Paths of Glory is mainly focused on the trial of a group soldiers.

I was wondering why a movie rated 18 / R would be on here, but Scratch is a place where people of all ages are on.
