Is there a modesty code in Scratch?

Hi there,

As you are not supposed to share inappropriate stuff, i assume there is some kind of limit, but what is it?

I want to know so that i don't report stuff the ST deems appropriate. I am very conservative, so Bikinis and other underwear stuff would be reported by me, but are they inappropriate to ST?

Please, if you don't know, do try to start a flame war here, i won't take the bait. Your beliefs are your beliefs, and i have mine. Please respect mine and i will respect yours.

Regards,

Although the topics you mention are not appropriate for many occasions, I don't really see any reason that they wouldn't be appropriate for Scratch. For example, if somebody wanted to make a project about swimming and include pictures, I don't see any reason not to allow that.

I understand that, and also for dress-up projects, but i am talking about stand alone characters, not in water or swimming.

Whether or not a project containing a pic of someone in a bikini or underwear stuff depends on the context of the project. There are some cases where we would mark as NFE, and some we would censor. It would be hard to say without seeing the project itself.

That's what I was thinking. So, should I just report a project that I feel is inappropriate, and then let y'all decide? Or should I just not report them?

You could go ahead and report the project so the Scratch Team can take a look and give a proper rating.

When in doubt - report it.

Works for everything: projects, posts, etc.
