Introduction
About
Pro Invent Inc is a collaboration which specialises in reviewing games. Soon, we'll open up a newsletter department and possibly a game development team in the future..

History
This collaboration was originally founded by Co49 on May 2, 2014. HarryB178 was one of the first members, so he helped lead Pro Invent Inc. with Co49. We begun by only reviewing games and putting them in our newsletter but we grew and became more of a newspaper collaboration.
We were very active and successful for a few months until Co49 left the collaboration on the 22 of November, 2014. HarryB178 then appointed Tyman187, the leader of the Mini Game Team, to succeed Co49 and help him lead the collaboration. Tyman187 became the new managing director. After some inactivity, we rebooted by sunnypiano and Co49 on the 19th of February just reviewing until a newsletter department is set up.

Roles and Their Responsibilities
▲Journalist
Journalists take the information from the reporters and interviewers and turn it into an article for the newsletter. They must have good writing and presenting skills.

▲Reporter
A reporter researches good stories and facts from inside and outside scratch. They must have good researching and presenting skills.

▲Interviewer
An interviewer interviews different scratchers about projects, them or collaborations. They must have good writing and presenting skills.

▲Editor
An editor reads through the different articles to ensure they contain no errors and that they read well. They must have good writing and a good sense of language.

▲Graphics Artist
The artists are responsible for all the graphics in the projects that we create. Being a vector artists includes drawing vector in the Scratch editor. All artists are should be skilled at Scratch Vector but some may specialise in other areas too (pixel, landscapes, inkscape etc.) They must have good artistic skills.

▲Puzzle Master
A puzzle master creates all the word jumbles, jokes and riddles for the articles. They must have a good sense of humour, wit and writing skills.

▲Fiction Writer
A writer works on their novels for publishing on each editions.They need to have good planning, writing and creativity skills.

▲Game Reviewer
A game reviewer looks through peoples games, scores them and gives them tips for improvements. They must have good general skills.

▲Advertiser
An advertiser searches for other collaborations to partner with and drafts advertising campaigns. They must have good researching and writing skills.

▲Programmer
A programmer fixes bugs and creates projects such as new newspaper formats and games. They must have good organisational and programming skills.

▲Script Helper
A script helper writes a tutorial for each edition that we publish. They must have good writing and programming skills.

Rules
1. Must not copy ideas, projects or sprites without giving credit
2. Must be kind and helpful towards other staff and members..
3. Must try to complete assignments on time.
4. Ask for leave and assignment extensions prior to start date/deadline
5. Have fun

Structure and Management of the Collaboration
Overall Structure
The Pro Invent Inc is split into three different groups: The General Department, Creative branch and the News Department. Each department has a number of different roles and responsible for different content for the newsletter. Some departments are spilt further into teams.

Management

Chief Executive

The chief executive oversees the whole organisation. They make sure all the content is put together and ready. The managing director also has other smaller jobs (e.g. puzzle master, survey master) and helps out when an area is short-staffed.



The assistant does oversee one department but also helps manage the whole collaboration with the chief executive. They lead the collaboration temporarily while the chief is away on leave.



A director has to manage a whole department, making sure assignments are allocated fairly. Directors usually make up their own assignments for their department based on what content is still outstanding. Example: Creative Branch Director.



A manager directs a team, making sure assignments are done and that their team members understand. They need to be active, good at their work, helpful and organised. Example: Programming Team Manager.



The real backbone and energy of the collaboration. Members start off as junior members until they have proved themselves active and ready.

Administrator
The administrator is a high ranking role that involves checking that information is up to date and that everything is going according to plan. This position is only offered to members by the chief or assistant executive.
Recruiter
The recruiter is also high ranking role that involves advertising jobs to other scratchers, accepting applications and ensuring that new members follow initiation. This position is only offered to members by the chief or assistant executive
