Remove FNAF (yes, I read the sticky)
I understand similes. However, I fail to see the harm in FNaF.What's the problem with FNaF? How is it a virus? Is there a problem with viral games? How about viral videos? Should we ban those as well, since they're “viral”?So you're concerned that young kids who view the appropriate project may look at the inappropriate game?E10+ I think, but since it has swearing in it, we should ban that as well…I was referring to Shadow the Hedgehog. So by your logic, we should ban fanart of Shadow because the original game has swearing…
I don't know what shadow is. Definition of shadow that I know: a darkened shape on a surface that falls behind somebody or something blocking the light
Oh, that shadow. Was that rated teen?
How about Super Meat Boy fan games?
How about TF2 dank memes?
Of couse, if the project is cursing it should be reported but if it doesn't curse than it is fine. I don't know what super meat boy of dank memes are though. I know what you are going to to say. “If the projects are not scary than it should be fine” It is not just the project. It is the fact that is based off of a teen game.
No. If the person finds it interesting and searches fnaf they might see the real thing. Also a huge reason for banning fnaf is that you find it everywhere. It is like a virus. We have to stop it before it is too late.
I don't mean it like that. It is a simile. Definition of virus: a submicroscopic parasitic particle of a nucleic acid surrounded by protein that can only replicate within a host cell. Viruses are not considered to be independent living organisms. A virus spreads from cell to cell making you sick. Some viruses are deadly and you have to stop them early.
FNAF is supposed to be scary. I think fnaf will currupt scratch if we don't stop it. Like I mentioned before, all it takes is one virus cell to lead to a fatal disease. I am not saying fnaf could kill you but it all started from one scratch project. More people got to know fnaf. More people shared fnaf projects. I only expect things to get worse.

FNaF won't corrupt Scratch. Sure, it's a horror game, but it's not going to “corrupt” Scratch by scaring people. Plus, only 8% of projects are FNaF related.
Also, how about Slenderman? Should we ban it? Did it corrupt Scratch permanently?
Did Silent Hill “infect” Scratch?
Did Flappy Bird “infect” Scratch?
Did Minecraft “infect” Scratch? I could say Minecraft is bad because of zombies, disc 11, creepers, skeletons, and it preventing people from actually interacting with the real world. Should we ban that?

BTW, if you think FNaF can only be a horror game, look at the developer's teaser for a new FNaF game
Do you think that's a horror game?

My source is me. All that is being said is coming from someone who has never gotten a “C”. My best subject in school is math and I know there is no way to stop this except to remove them all. I am 96.54% sure removing them is the only way to stop it.

Hahaha. I also happen to be one of the best in math in my school who has never gotten anything below an A in Math (only 2 As) and has gotten around 5 100% math results… The places I stink at is DT, Food and PE (where I somehow still get “B”s), and learned about quadratics when I was 10… My source is me. All that is being said is coming from someone who has never gotten a “C”. My best subject in school is math and I know there is no way to stop this except to remove them all. I have also managed to get Ubuntu running alongside Windows 8 AND use it as my primary OS - the only person who's done so in my school!
So don't show off (the irony)
Also, do you know that some viruses are benign, which means that they won't do any harm?

However, this will make thousands of users sad/angry, and a lot of protests are expected. My friend irl has a Scratch account and pretty much the only Scratch projects he plays is FNAF. This would significantly change a lot of things for a lot of people, and plus remember when I posted Friendly Freddy? That's appropriate, it doesn't break any guidelines. My source is me. FNAF is not going to corrupt every aspect of Scratch. And as per the parts that have been taken over, what's the harm? Unlike a real virus, FNAF isn't goimg to kill you, or even give you a cough or fever.I understand similes. However, I fail to see the harm in FNaF.What's the problem with FNaF? How is it a virus? The only one that might have a reason to be reported, is FNaF 4. I mean.. Why would you make a real remake of that game. -_- Razor sharp teeth?

Razor sharp teeth is allowed as long as there's no blood, guts, or any of those gross stuff. Also if it doesn't look threatening. The only one that might have a reason to be reported, is FNaF 4. I mean.. Why would you make a real remake of that game. -_- Razor sharp teeth?

As Paddle2See said in the sticky, it is possible to make FNAF projects while still following the Community Guidelines. If the user can do that, then the project is allowed - there can be no reason to remove an appropriate project that follows the CGs. But in the case that you do find a project that's too scary, just click the report button and the Scratch Team will handle it. That's going to be the way it will go.
Now, if a user sees a FNAF project and decides that they will look up FNAF apps and maybe even download them, it isn't the fault of whoever shared the project on the website. It was the user viewing it - they were the ones that decided to go further on this topic. Scratch isn't responsible for what you do outside of it.
To top it off - Scratch won't ban FNAF out of hand. The Scratch Team will still continue to moderate the site with your help of using the report button when needed. And looking up the actual FNAF is the choice of the user and not Scratch nor the user sharing the FNAF project.

Best thing to do would be to use the report button on anything that requires a moderator's attention. This is turning into a flame war. SOMEONE, PLEASE REMOVE TROLL BLAZE!

No I don't make projects anymore. I left some time ago.
I only check the forums every now and then, but other than that consider me retired.

Thanks for all the input - but I'm not seeing any new ideas that haven't already been covered in previous versions of this subject. Please continue to use the Report button on projects you think are not appropriate for all Scratchers.
