Need help: download scratch projects and make them work without Scratch

I downloaded some of my scratch projects and want to give them to my friend. but she hasn't got scratch. Is there a way to make the projects work without scratch? Maybe to compile them to .exe or something like that? Please tell me!

So far, you cannot export to EXE, but there are rumors of that possibility in the future. If it's made in 1.4, which I doubt it, you can open it in Snap and then export it to .exe. But unfortunately you can't export Scratch 2.0 projects (there might be some external program to do so, someone else may post here), unless your friend got Scratch

I seem to recall there being a ScratchToExe program a while back that would package the Squeak VM, the Scratch 1.4 image, and the project in one executable. If you're trying to use a project specific to 1.4, you could use that. (Try searching AT for it.) Otherwise, I don't see why you couldn't just send her the link to your project; we have an online client now, after all!

Thanks for explaining! I think I'll send her a link. But I'd like a ScratchToExe program for 2.0 too. I hope there'll be one in the future.
