Username Block

There has always been this bug, that sometimes when I open a project, it says that it uses the username block, when it doesn't. It also does this to my projects as well. I've been experiencing it for almost as long as the amount of time that I've been on Scratch, so I'm used to it, but I still think it should be fixed.

Could someone tell me if this is a bug or not, and if it will be fixed someday?

Thanks!

Do you have the username block in your backpack?

Possibly. Why, does it have to do with that?

If you have the username block in your backpack it says the project you are viewing contains it even if it doesn't.

Flash shouldn't scan the backpack unless it just scans everything for the username block.

It does in fact scan it for the backpack, I tested it.

Why does it scan for the backpack?
Who knows. That's probably just the way it was programmed.

I've experienced this bug too. However, I don't have any username block in my backpack. I've noticed that it happens when a project uses a variable (I think).

This is such an old bug, but it's still on the Scratch Wiki!

Scratch implementation has changed so much, and I couldn't see how it could happen on Scratch 3.0 by looking at the scratch-www code.

The Wiki is 99% accurate; please don't round up and say 100.

In some projects that have the username block, like some username based projects, I try to find it but I can't find it.

Please don't spam the same block five times. However, that doesn't mean the username block isn't there.

Maybe this necropost wasn't the best. Can someone tell me if this bug is still around or not?
