Username Block
There has always been this bug, that sometimes when I open a project, it says that it uses the username block, when it doesn't. It also does this to my projects as well. I've been experiencing it for almost as long as the amount of time that I've been on Scratch, so I'm used to it, but I still think it should be fixed.
Could someone tell me if this is a bug or not, and if it will be fixed someday?
Thanks!

If you have the username block in your backpack it says the project you are viewing contains it even if it doesn't.

Flash shouldn't scan the backpack unless it just scans everything for the username block. There has always been this bug, that sometimes when I open a project, it says that it uses the username block, when it doesn't. I've experienced this bug too. However, I don't have any username block in my backpack. I've noticed that it happens when a project uses a variable (I think).

Scratch implementation has changed so much, and I couldn't see how it could happen on Scratch 3.0 by looking at the scratch-www code.

Howdy gamers, so i have been having the same issue and i'm not sure how to fix it, i've checked through my back but to no success, so i came back to ask for help, i'm just trying to make a really basic top down shooter that was going great in till i decided to add a username feature in the game and now the answer box will not go away, i took your guys advise and looked into my backpack, nothing there i'm not sure what to do, someone pleas help, i'm thinking of just restarting from scratch (that wasn't a pun)

In some projects that have the username block, like some username based projects, I try to find it but I can't find it.

Please don't spam the same block five times. However, that doesn't mean the username block isn't there. In some projects that have the username block, like some username based projects, I try to find it but I can't find it.(username)
