About
Crimson & Co's College of Collaborations was set up on the 13th August 2015 by Crimson19 and Co49. The reason for this college is that some collaborations have their own training department while most smaller collaborations cannot have their own training. Hence, this collaboration was made to allow universal training for scratchers in a variety of degrees to help with collaboration. It allows the graduates to show their skill to all collaborations without having to be trained again and have a standard proof of skill while it allows collaboration leaders to know that they are accepting well trained and skilled members. Here is a link to the studio.

Courses and Subjects
Standard Customer Service
The Customer Service Course is all about being polite and informative to customers and learning how you should respond to customer requests and complaints. This Degree is mainly taught by Crimson19.

Standard Management
The Standard Management Course is all about how to effectively manage a small team while also learning about other roles in the collaboration. This Degree is mainly taught by Co49 with makethebrainhappy. See here for the studio and here for more information.

Standard Programming
The Standard Programming Course is not only about general programming but also about knowing how to follow instruction well and fulfil a brief to a high standard. You will need to organise and explain your code well too. This Degree is mainly taught by makethebrainhappy with CrazyGoldfish3.

Standard Programming with Custom Block
This course is all about Custom Blocks, from looping them, decoding them, and making them as efficient as possible. You will have to explain your methods as well as others. This Degree is mainly taught by CrazyGoldfish3. See here for the studio.

Standard Writing
This course is about writing and all its different forms and techniques. It is strongly associated with the Customer Service course. This course is mainly taught by Crimson19

Standard Music
This course is all about learning different types of music, as well as how to create your own songs. You will be learning how to create different types of music such as Blues, Electronic, Country and more! You will learn how to create music from an order and from briefs. This Degree is mainly taught by ZLGames. See here for the studio.

Standard Art
This course is all about learning different types of art, different artistic techniques and learning about color theory. You will make artwork based on briefs. This Degree is mainly taught by ProfessorMarshmallow. There are two branches, one for pixel art (tiles and sprites and project stuffs) and one for general art and visuals (backgrounds, signatures, requests, etc).

Advanced Courses and SPeC
If you have completed a Standard Course and want to further your skill then you can ask the Tutor with a speciality in that subject to complete an advanced course. Once this is done, you may have the opportunity to do a SPeC (special professional course) in which you will autonomously make a project or several according to a brief. SPeC members have the opportunity to become a tutor and can have a say in the future of the college.

How we work
Your tutors may write lessons for information for your course accompanied with a scenario for you to respond to (they will then say what you did well on and where you can improve) or a brief for you to create a project. Another method of testing is recalling information from a lesson. There is no official test for each course. For you to pass a course: you must have spent two to three weeks on the course, fulfilled the whole criteria for that course and the tutor must think that you are ready. On completing the course, you will be awarded with a certificate.

We expect our tutors to always allow the students enough time for deadlines, be kind when giving critical feedback, give pointers where your students can improve and teach the students according to the course syllabus and criteria.

I've been working on a game which allows the player to make music tracks and sell them on the market. It isn't finished, but here is what I've done so far https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/74601252/
I've also tried building a Space RPG called Galactic Warfare Stories, which tried to incorporate features from another game called Flash Trek (a game not on Scratch). I never finished it due to the editor lagging up, so if you do play it, expect bugs, glitches and other things that shouldn't be expected. https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/21036005/
And then there are the script tutorials/demos that I make to help me develop my games. If I ever get stuck on a coding problem, I'd make another project aimed at solving it and maybe a bit more. So far, I've done up to 10 different projects on this matter and range primarily in strategy game interests. https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/1431604

1. At the moment, my main project is the Musi Co project (create your own music and sell it etc.) but at the moment, there is an error I cannot identify. When you create a piece of music, you go into the create a music page (blue button with headphones) and once there you hit create and go through a dialogue. But for some unknown reason, the dialogue has decided to no longer work. I can't identify why its stopped working, it worked when it first created and there are no other scripts interfering with it (that I know of at least). Maybe you could have a look? (If your not too busy)

2. I want to learn how to use the more advanced subjects of coding. E.g. custom blocks etc. I can't grasp them.

Cool! I'll see what I can do!

So custom blocks eh? These are your syllabus to begin with, I'll add more stuff later.

http://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/wiki/Define_()_(block)
http://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/wiki/()_(Custom_block)

Basically, a custom block is something you can use to speed up your code by making your own scripts. The Scratch Wiki articles above explain them well, so if you want I can create an assignment based on them, otherwise I can give you some more info of other stuff you want to know about them.

Thanks!

So basically I will create a programming assignment, most likely a brief, as you would have in a collaboration. I'd hope to also do something more than just link you to the Scratch Wiki so if there is anything else you need help explaining with don't hesitate to ask!

Can you change the music description?

This course is all about learning different types of music, as well as how to create your own songs. You will be learning how to create different types of music such as Blues, Electronic, Country and more! You will learn how to create music from an order and from briefs. This Degree is mainly taught by ZLGames.

@RickCall12
Hello, just to give you an example, I used a custom block to create a text generator.

define Generate Text (Input) (X) (Y)
go to x: (X) y: (Y)
set [GT Counter] to [0]
etc

Then I could write write a message and where I would want it to appear.

Sure! Here is an assignment: (Kind of for games and programming but whatever)

Use a custom block to figure out what costume and stats a clone should be.
E.g. I want to create a clone of a sprite for a battle game and I want them to have different stats but one sprite. I want to be asked what shape I want to create (Square, circle or triangle), and what stat they should have. You will make then a custom block should create what I want based on my input.

TIP: Use a list to hold the stats.

Good luck!
