I am trying to make a FNAF 4 project when I just realized something was lacking. THE SOUNDS! I searched youtube played the sounds of the jumpscare,and at the same time went to the ‘sounds’ function and recorded the sound. and guess what? IT DID NOT WORK! please help me.:

stop all sounds

click the upload button and it will give you a way to choose a file click a .wav or .mp3 file. (scratch will convert .mp3 files to .wav files, which might take up to a minuet depending on long the sound is and how fast your computer is. hope this helped

Hi Agario_Pro. To do this, simply follow these simple instructions
1. Go to youtube and choose your song
2. Copy the URL
3. Go to a youtube-mp3 player.
4. Wait for it to upload into your files
5. Go to your scratch editor, and go to sounds.
6. Press import
7. Press your file and it is now uploading!

ATTENTION… Please make sure that your project follows the Community Guidelines. FNAF projects are often banned or removed due to their inappropriate content – this includes jumpscares, jumpscare sounds, frightening images, etc. The jumpscare sounds you are trying to record may very well violate the Community Guidelines, so unless you're not planning on sharing your FNAF 4 project, you probably shouldn't use them.

FNAF projects are allowed as long as they're kid-friendly, though, so just try to tone down the scariness and/or creepiness.

another way to get sound effects or music is find a youtube video with what you want in it. Copy (control C) the URL (address bar) then go to http://www.theyoump3.com/ or some other youtube to mp3 site and paste (control V) the URL into the designated area then hit CONVERT and then wait and then download. you now have the entire youtube video saved as sound. you can then import this in any sprite's sound section. Afterwards, delete any parts that don't contain the sound you want. I once imported a half hour copy just for a two second sound effect so I had to delete lots. If you want someone saying a specific sentence you can search youtube for individual words. For example, I wanted a woman saying, “select tactic” so I searched for, “how do you pronounce select” and there is a video of a woman just saying that one word. I then did the same for, “tactic”.

Does a dialog saying “converting mp3 file” come up? If not, you might want to report it as a bug.
