Support because without recolours, we'll lose artists.

I left the forums. Sorry.

It seems that most “anti-remixing” people don't care and keep persisting after being linked to https://scratch.mit.edu/help/faq/#remix.[citation needed]

Edit: Support for both anyway.
But the community guidelines already say:
Share
You are free to remix projects, ideas, images, or anything else you find on Scratch – and anyone can use anything that you share. Be sure to give credit when you remix.

The Scratch Team should have a zero-tolerance policy on people who continue to treat Scratch as their mini-DeviantArt instead of its own site with its own rules and philosophies.

I support this suggestion. Perhaps it will turn away anti-recolor Scratchers at signup or first share.

Support. I think this would be good to remind people that recolors aren't that bad, but they are frowned upon.

I'd support something like a message popping up when you share a project like

Scratch protects it's projects under a Creative Commons ShareAlike license.
Users are free to remix your projects if they add something new to it.

Even if anti-remixers don't care we should still add it.

If 9 out of 10 people who'd be affected by this are anti-remixers, that's still 1 out of 10 who'll realize there are different rules here.

Recoloring is disrespectful, and therefore, it is banned according to the comm. guidelines.

It's not disrespectful if they give credit to the original artist.

Er, no, that's completely false, see BookOwl's post. This is yet another example of why we need to make the rules more clear.

What are you talking about? The Community Guidelines say nothing about recoloring.

It says something about being disrespectful:

Community Guidelines wrote:

Be respectful.
Though it's possible to recolor while still being respectful.

the only other thing is, does this affect all remixes, like direct copies, adding
when green flag clicked
randomly to projects, making projects that are acceptable but don't give credit, or even placing ONE PIXEL to a sprite?
I see people doing this a lot to famous projects to try and get loves. I am neutral towards this one.

Just to clear this up: no. We don't consider recoloring disrespectful as long as proper credit is given, and it's perfectly allowed by both the community guidelines and the license attached to any project shared on the Scratch website. We consider it disrespectful to not allow recolors, actually.
