Current Assignments
Programmers - Start on the first minigame.
Artists - Provide each character game sprites (talksprites, walking sprites, normal, emotions, etc.).
Focus on color schemes.
Watch the mood.
Feel free to claim anyone of these jobs! (below is copied from powershack)
We need some props. When I say props, I mean the rock and any other item you can think of. - claimed by no one,
We need someone to redesign the forest that powershack made. Going on the theory that we are going to use powershack's forest (or not), we need someone to recolor it to more happier, bright colors. So not B/W. - claimed by no one
Someone can finish off the boy character. You can finish off the moving animations and emotions.
We need a house. Can someone draw a small cabin sort of thing? - claimed by enblazingfire
Animators - Provide each character animations (walking, talking, expression changes, fainting (?), etc.)
Musicians - Find appropriate music and/or create appropriate music.
Watch the mood.
Looping may be needed, so find pieces that will loop ok.
Anybody left - Make the script (not story, SCRIPT) as precise as possible and mention all the details that will have to be noted during the process.
Make advertisements to recruit more members (this may not be necessary for artists and programmers, but we need musicians).
————————————————————————————————————————————————————-
All the people with manager status - Will give individual assignments to people if necessary
If you don't have a assignment, it means that you are inactive. Once you are active again, a assignment for you will be added to the list of assignments above.
————————————————————————————————————————————————————-
If you feel that you can't do the assignment you are given, or if it is out of your level, please tell anyone that has manager status, such as me, to have a different assignment.
WE WILL START USING OUR COLLAB ACCOUNT!!!!!!!! (probably)
If you do not know the username and password, read through this forum thread (I know it is a lot, but this is for security). DO NOT POST THE INFO DIRECTLY ON THIS FORUM THREAD, THE STUDIO, ETC.

Who is active, and who is not
By the way, if you are already on the list and have something written like "INACTIVE“, you don't have to tell me you are active, just post something in the studio, or remix a project, or do something related to working on the project and you will be set back to ”ACTIVE".
Key:
ACTIVE = Active
EXCUSED = Has told any leader that s/he will be inactive. Reason is usually included.
INACTIVE = Inactive

I am making a snowy forest (turned out better than expected). I'm just trying to implement some more snow to it. May come out tomorrow

I'll work on some walking animation sprites, because it looks like our animators are all busy.
EDIT: And anybody know who the person we don't know that is following the collab account? It's kinda scary because I dunno how they found the account.

So I made a scrolling version of the snowy forest, and I just realized I forgot to make another project and that I just edited the mountains project. So basically, there aren't any mountains anymore, it's just an awkwardly scrolling nice looking forest.

I keep ranting to juliemin888 about the “symbolical interpretations” of our story right now, and also pestering her about my own headcanon of the story, and she keeps telling me to post it. So here I am… well, after reading powershack and juliemin888's written stories, I tend to think of the main playable character as a nameless, generally personality-less spirit whose past “lives” were the rest of the main characters. If that makes any sense.
The entire body of the story, chronologically “in real time” would take place immediately or shortly AFTER the spirit's final boss battle - it's the emotional healing afterwards (since they might be exhausted and in a coma-like state?), remembering all the work that she/he/it has done in the past several lives that has culminated in the villain's downfall. So segments of the story might be replaying the spirit/hero character's journey while fighting against the bad guys, which… would probably be one of the happier moments, probably.
In terms of my personal take on color and artistic design, I think that the more “isolated” portions of the story (darker moments, fending off enemies, just walking alone) should have less color and be more pale + b/w in appearance, while the “brighter” parts (memories, seeing past lives/characters/allies/friends, hopeful moments) should be more colorful and vivid.
Flat, lightly shaded and textured vector design (like this, except digital???) might look better for spirits while fully shaded might look better on physical beings, although that's wishful thinking since that would take probably five times as much drawing work than just doing the same style for both.
That's about all I can think of at the moment, yep.

(Started from the studio comments, partially repeated)I like the idea! Just make sure to not have the dark parts too dark. Still a game for everyone!

(Started from the studio comments, partially repeated)Great job, piecing our random story together. I don't really think of this story as a dark story though. I think of it as a more emotional approach. When I return back home I will make some sort of final story (unless you want it to be a group discussion)

Ok, so I think PowerShack has it under control with art and the story, so quick recap for the walking engine: is it a platformer with gravity, or will it have bird-eye view? Also, will it scroll? If so, which direction? Please be specific! Also, art is no problem for me. Also, for the art style, the backdrops and objects and such could be in the art style of the picture @Aeranythe linked, an the characters can be shaded, drawn characters.
