I'm actually surprised there isn't a topic on this yet!
I'll add this to the directory.
also I've only read The Giver and don't intend to read any other books. I guess I just keep an idea of purity about the book and reading the others in the series would ruin it. Plus it would just make me create more questions about how the communities were started, what happened to humanity prior to the communities, and how the movement from community to community works.

Son, the 4th book, really relates to the 1st book.

The other books are really good, but The Giver is definitely the best! I own The Giver and Son. Son relates to The Giver a lot and it just like unfolds all the things you wonder about. It's really cool too

I've only read the giver but I want ot read the whole series. Though isn't gathering blue supposed to have Jonas in it at the very end?
