DadOfMrLog had several projects on the Front Page, most of which are revised remixes, so yes.

AFAIA, I have only had the Super Pi Calc project actually featured (in the last couple of years, anyway - I recall having a couple of features back in the beta days, when there were far fewer users, a much higher ratio of them being more experienced Scratchers).


I think the general principle would be to not feature a remix - unless it's a significant revision to the original, and/or there is some other good reason to choose it.

Also, as a general principle (but again, not a totally strict rule), they would be less likely to feature a project that already has a more-than-average number of views/loves/faves, or perhaps from someone who has lots of active followers so already having a wide audience for their projects.


I suspect there were a couple of reasons why that “Super Pi Calc” project was chosen to be featured, despite it being a remix, and despite it already having probably gained a higher number of views/loves/faves than most featured projects do before being featured:

• It was ‘Super Pi Day’ (March 14th 2015), and the project explained all about that (as well as letting you calculate up to half a million digits of pi, of course…)

• It was a remix of my own earlier (slower) “Pi Calc” project - that meant there was no chance of me feeling like I'd missed out on having my original gain the feature, which is one of the reasons to avoid featuring a remix. (I did actually get a couple of comments on the original from people saying how it was a bit unfair that the remix had been featured rather than the original - I explained that I much preferred my newer version… ;) )
