Freeze thumbnail gifs for studios

Studio thumbnails with gifs will be cut to the first frame.

Honestly, who needs them?

Plus, they're usually irritating.

People who like animated thumbnails, if you're saying we should remove the ability to have animated thumbnails because we don't need them, then no support. That's like saying we should remove FNAF projects because we don't necessarily need them for scratch to br “scratch”.

FNAF projects irritate me, should we assume FNAF irritates everyone and as result, ban them?

There should be a reason why gif thumbnails for projects are discouraged by the ST…

Support. They make my CPU burn up more than when I'm actually using the editor.

No I don't make projects anymore. I left some time ago.
I only check the forums every now and then, but other than that consider me retired.

Aren't you talking about studios? What does GIFs for project thumbnails have to do with it?

If the ST don't like animated project thumbnails, the same could go for studio thumbnails.

+1

They make my computer is slower than an inkjet printer in antarcti- nevermind. Back to the topic: They can also be extremely flashy or fast, which could cause health issues in some people.

Yes. And I don't think I've seen a genuine GIF thumbnail that actually relates to the studio.

Exactly. I have yet to see a gif that is related to anything in the studio. Especially when you are viewing a bunch of studios at once. La g gy .

What if there was an option to turn them on/off?

I don't think any of those animations are that off the mark.

Are you saying we should ban all GIFs on studios because they don't have any relation to the topic? It seems that this only applies for AEs and a few other studios.

(Also, for the first Vocaloid studio and the Chinese studio, cutting it to the first frame would be ridiculous.)

No support. I use gifs (and others too) appropriately (related to studio etc.)
Studio I'm mentioning

I am explaining more about studios that have obnoxious or flashy GIFs that don't relate to them in any way. True, some do have legit GIFs that are related, but most I've seen don't.
Also, it could be made as an on/off option, so you could have them if your computer could handle it or they didn't give you headaches.

And a huge amount of AE studios that use random gifs such as a one ripped straight off the asdfmovie series (asdfmovie2 I think).
Here's an example of another useless studio gif:

This is a really flashy one:

Unfortunately, as this is in the studios tab of a project, it can get distracting when you're scrolling down to the comments.
