Problems after upgrading to Windows 10

Recently I did a clean install on my Windows 8.1 computer and updated it to Windows 10. Today I had started working on a trailer for a game I was working on and I noticed a sudden unstableness in the online editor. I have not downloaded the offline editor so I do not know about that. Here is a list of problems. First: I cannot duplicate any scripts and only some blocks like the costume block. 2: when I switch to the costumes tab the editor freezes for about 10 seconds So this is a real pain. 3:When I duplicate a costume it turns it into a sprite instead of a other costume And finally 4:When I use the filler tool the editor freezes for about 20 seconds. PLEASE fix these major problems. It is extremely hard for me to make anything with these problems.

If your a early adopter, tough luck. You'll be using software that the ST hasn't made all the compatible changes yet
I'm still waiting for my Windows 10 upgrade (for reasons). Anyways, I assume you also use MS Edge, because of this topic. You might want to edit your original post.

please note: I've essentially left the website to do other stuff full time. please do not message me about anything on my Scratch profile or bother me about Scratch elsewhere, I will probably not respond.

Yes I am a early adopter. I never got upgrade notification and I got impatient so I just use the Windows Media Creation tool to upgrade my PC. But I am using google chrome due to the fact youtube doesn't work on MS Edge yet.

this is due to the fact that scratch needs java which the edge browser cannot run. you can use google chrome or just replace your os which is what i did.

Umm, you're getting confused with Flash and HTML5. Scratch uses Flash, YouTube uses HTML5 by default (and Flash as a fallback).

Also, please don't necrobump topics that are no longer relevant.

No I don't make projects anymore. I left some time ago.
I only check the forums every now and then, but other than that consider me retired.
