Linux and Flash
I am a bit worried, the last time I updated the flash player the flash homepage said it was the last version to support Linux…
Am I misinformed, which admittedly is possible, or will you keep supporting the current version of flash with Scratch?

I use Linux (Ubuntu 12.10 specifically), and the projects work for me. What are you using?

I Use a Raspberry Pi running Raspberry Wheezy (Linux OS, I Think Debian or LXDE) Would that work? I Know however I cant get Flash at all for that, Or can I? The Latest version of Scratch is Pre-Installed on it, But will I be able to get the new One? Thanks

I am certain that flash support is continuing there would be a much bigger uproar and you would have already heard of it i think you are mis understanding it it is the last for YOUR version of linux
The same happened for older ppc macs
Since most os's for linux are free update to a new version that should fix it

The most likely reason you can't install flash is that it probably hasn't been compiled for the ARM architecture.
botcrusherTypically Raspberry Pi's run the Raspbian distribution, which is Debian with the LXDE. You are correct that it is possible to run Fedora on them as well.

Yep, we're making sure we won't require users to have versions of Flash later than the last ones to support Linux. So we should be good to go for a while! And eventually, we will switch to html 5.

LightninWhen you switch to HTML5, do you, by any chance, plan on using Jens' Morphic.js?

No plans yet, but we'll use everything we can get our hands on, if it helps!

once we make the jump to html5 will we get an ios app?
it would be better for offline editing than a “flash built in” browser on ios

veggieman001botcrusherI don't think it will be an app, but most things HTML5 are runable from the browser.
