What are the differences between the editors in Scratch 1.4 and Scratch 2.0?
Wow this thread is getting spammed hard!!! repeat after me: stay on topic… stay on topic… stay on topic….
One important difference is that .sb2 project files are actually just .zip files (try renaming one). Project data like sprites and sounds are stored in the .zip file, and all the scripts and other data (like names of variables and sprite positions) is stored in one big project.json file. So you can edit projects through other programs, simply by using a standard .zip file reader and a standard .json parser.
1.4's .sb and .sprite file formats are super funky, so you have to write your own parser to get at the data.
