Great fun!

I'm a newbie here - I actually set up the account for my kids to play around and learn some programming principles, but I've been having fun seeing what Scratch can do. Quite happy with my first project (a 1P/2P car racing game), and impressed with how easy the system is. (I found the object model quite limiting for what I wanted to do in the car game - especially for creating two cars to race against each other. But it's fabulous nonetheless.)

Oh … and if anyone has any tips for a simple collision detection/response method for my car game, I'd appreciate it

Great fun!

I checked out your racing game and it's really good for a first project. It would be nice if there was an option to race against a computer-controlled car. Because you can't collide with it, it could just follow a hard-coded path and wouldn't require anything fancy. I'm mainly suggesting this because I didn't have anybody nearby to play it with :P

Hi and welcome to Scratch. I'm sorry because I'm a bit late but you're still a new Scratcher so I'm maybe not too late. Good luck with your Projects!
