Why do scratchers have to wait 60 seconds between posts?

Also, you should be thanking the Scratch Team for having to wait 60 seconds. New Scratchers have to wait 180 seconds between posts.

If people could post every couple seconds, the forums would be overrun by spam. That's why New Scratchers need to wait 3 minutes between posts, because unfortunately, we get a whole lot of spammers. Scratchers are more trusted, but still sometimes spaz out and post a lot for no reason. Take a look below at what would happen if there was no time limit:
