How come: The Big Questions for Scratch by ME

Ok, so here's my first(very first indeed) question about Scratch:

How come you didn't tell us that you added another new thing to Scratch(turn off and on commenting) to the homepage of the updates section?

I just thought of maybe that I'm a something user and you added me. Like you know when someone is the 15th user or 100th of maybe 10,000th and you give them an extra condition for the profile. Or maybe it was the only add on and you didn't want something so small to be so big because it would be the only update there. It's actually kind of big, though. Young Scratchers can block off rude commenting. Can be actually valuable. Less people will be annoyed when they don't have to worry about a thousand messages in their inbox. But what about the people who have no one to chat to? All the people online on Scratch have blocked off their commenting. It would be a total bummer. So there's really to sides to this:
Good for the famous user
Bad for the new users or users who are online Scratch naturally and easily bored.
Maybe we could fix that by let first time user for a whole week be able to talk to anyone, even if they have there profile blocked and then the people after the week, they get blocked. Sounds fair to me. Anyone else disagree?

How come: The Big Questions for Scratch by ME

Surely someone could just set up an acount every week and just pouring a stream of insults and profanity onto the comments of blocked projects. I disagree, if someone wants comments on a project, they allow them, if they don't, they don't. I don't see why new scratchers should get a ‘privilage’ that the rest of don't.

I'm making a game! It's a old-metroid/mega man esque side scroller/shooter. If your interested in anything from drawing to sounds, please message on one of my projects!

Well, I understand your point of view, but they should get a privilege because they are new. Yes I also understand people can just make a new account, but:

1. It will get boring after a while.
2. Maybe the Scratch team could update scratch so someone can only have one account and you could see if 5 or more people have the same IP address. I didn't say more then 1 or 2 because they could be siblings.
