Remixes & Exports Allowed Option

Remixing turned off has been “no” for a long time.

Also, screen captures? Sound recorders? Looking at a script and manually copying it?

You cant stop that if someone implimented the feature

No so sure I support… mainly due to the share in the Scratch motto. Great idea, though.

Even if they wanted to implement this, they couldn't. It is against the law. Their license states that the source is open and editable/redistrobutable, and Scratch can't change the licenses. See http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/legalcode

b. to create and Reproduce Adaptations provided that any such Adaptation, including any translation in any medium, takes reasonable steps to clearly label, demarcate or otherwise identify that changes were made to the original Work. All the “Do NOT remix!!!!” on projects have no legal meaning, because by sharing scratch projects, you agree to make it under Creative Commons Share alike.
Of course it gas no legal meaning.

But it does have a moral one. For example, only a dishonest person would remix it.
Wrong.

I'm very honest, and I would probably remix it to teach the person a lesson on one of the many things that Scratch is about.
