Recently, I got 300 followers, and I posted in on my About Me. Then, someone unfollows me, and I didnt notice. So, I tell people, and they all tell me I dont and It was kinda embarrasinh. So, I think we should be notified if someone unfollows you. I am aware that sometimes you try to follow someone and it doesnt work so you keep clucking the button, and then you accidentaly foolow then unfollow but maybe ther is a way around it. Support? No support? Ideas on the way around it? Post below with your opinions. Thanks!
Edit: Seeing all the no supports, I have a different idea. Maybe the message will tell you just that someone has unfollowed you, and not tell you who. Then it will tell you how many followers you currently have, so if someone keeps unfollowung you, you will know that the same oerson is doing it over again. To prevent spam, if they keep unfollowing you, you only get the message once if it is by the same person. How does that sound?

Please give ideas!

I think the reason why we don't have this is because people could get upset if people unfollow them, a perfectly legitimate concern.

Maybe if only you have more than X followers, then you get the notification.

Edit: After seeing your edit, I would say that that is better than mentioning who unfollowed you. However, someone (yes, some people are a little sensitive sometimes) could be upset when they see that someone doesn't follow them anymore. See your point, but it's just them feelings. Semi-support.

Unfollows are one of the worst things on Scratch. To make it even worse, when you have a small number of followers (like me) you notice it. It just happened to me recently. I have no idea when the person unfollowed me or even WHO it is! That is why I am requesting to have messages when someone unfollows.
After doing some research, I found that this has been suggested previously and has not gotten a lot of support. Some people said that new Scratchers might get discouraged and leave Scratch. I think that this could be easily avoided by making it optional. When you make a new account, it is automatically off and can be turned on or off.

Message example:

Unfollower unfollowed you

No support.

Unfollower unfollowed you.

The scratcher who got unfollowed proceeds to leave a message on the unfollower's profile:

NOOB!!!! WHU DID U UNFOLLOW ME????

No support. What is the point? To make you feel bad? To give you the ability to post a negative comment on the person who unfollowed you's profile? This just doesn't seem like a constructive suggestion.

I agree with this.
I see why you might want it, but it's generally not good to have it on a website for all ages.
Older and, consequently, more mature scratchers could handle it, but younger, less mature ones?

Person: *unfollows user*
Unfollowed person: WHY DID U JUST UNFOLLOW ME!?!?!? I HATE YOU SO MUCH!!!! U SHOULD DIE!!!!!!!!!!111

note: this is of no offense to younger scratchers.

I partially agree, but it might make you feel bad, especially if you are young, have little followers, or are sensitive. Scratch is supposed to be a place where people can feel happy, safe, and content, this feature might ruin that purpose.
On the other hand, this makes people aware of an unfollow, so making this an optional feature is a decent idea, which might make it worth adding in.

However, picture this scenario:

Scratcher: *checks messages* SOMEONE UNFOLLOWED ME!
Scratcher: *opens up unfollowers profile* HOW DARE YOU UNFOLLOW ME I HATE YOU I HATE YOU!!!!
Unfollower: But, I refollowed you.
Scratcher: Oh.

This feature might encourage cyber bullying.

To sum it up, this is a fair idea, and I partially support it.

Seeing all those people unfollowing make you feel sad if you care so much about follows.

Plus, why would you need to find out who exactly followed you? 0_o

1. If you already feel bad why would you want to inflict your pain on others? In other words, suggesting something that makes people feel bad on both ends is not really “helpful”.

2. No support, this easily promotes people bullying others. I've gone on sprees of unfollowing Scratchers that are inactive or I'm not interested in. I don't need them pestering me about it.

No support as per everybody. I don't want to feel guilty about unfollowing someone.
