Simplest way to build a Flappy Bird game

Hi there,

I am a beginning programmer and scratch user, and teaching two eight-year olds. Our first game is a maze, that we built over 4 or 5 lessons.

Next we want to make a Flappy Bird game. Is this a good tutorial: http://www.dasd.k12.pa.us/cms/lib3/PA01000215/Centricity/Domain/221/flap_bird_instructions.pdf

Any suggestions for better simple Flappy Bird Scratch games / videos / tutorials?

Check out code.org, they have an hour of code thing, and it is very simple to understand, and they can probably work solo after a while, If you, as a person above the age of 11, want to learn coding, codeacdemy is really good. But if you want to make this game in Scratch, then that seems good.
