Drawing Editor Question And Eraser Glitch?
Hi, Lukia here!
Okay, so I watched the Scratch 2.0 Drawing Tutorial by Cheddargirl, and now I think I get it, but I'd just like to ask about some stuff. First, the project made it clear how the fill tool works, but why? I find it a little awkward to work with, IMHO, and the drawing programs I use such as GIMP and Corel Painter Essentials aren't like that. I don't know if there's anything you can do to change it back, but if you want feedback, there it is.
Also, the erase tool will erase some of the drawing, but I notice tiny spots left, even after I go over them with the eraser. Has anyone else had this glitch?
Thanks,
~Lukia26

Lukia26What browser were you using? I was using IE9, so…well…IE has a lot of problems.

Haha, well I usually use Safari, and I have a Mac, so…idk. Safari is usually the best with stuff like this. XD But then, what do I know?

Drawing Editor Question And Eraser Glitch?
The paintbucket in raster and vector editors just don't work in the same way. GIMP and Corel are raster editors, the Scratch 2.0 is a vector editor, that's why the paintbucket works in that awkward way in Scratch 2.0. Hi, Lukia here!

I did actually bring that issue up with the ST a while back since it non-intuitive for those who are not familiar with the way vector works. We did have one version of the paint editor that attempted to copy fill the same way as it did for raster editors, but it didn't work out so well. If you know of a vector editor that has a fillbucket function similar to that of a raster editor, feel free to drop a link to it st the ST can take a look; we would be very interested in it!

A website called If you know of a vector editor that has a fillbucket function similar to that of a raster editor, feel free to drop a link to it st the ST can take a look; we would be very interested in it! doink had a nice fill tool with vector images, but they took the site down, I think they still have an app for an iPad (not iPhone). Not sure if this helps much.
