Lol! I don't use anything yet. So far, I could remove quite a few viruses myself
Hmm.

I really suggest you get something, basic virus protection is a must-have these days.

Hmm.then you better hope you don't get any of those “encryption” viruses that encrypt all your files and hold them for ransom. Sure - they can be removed. But all the files will still be encrypted. xP

I've got Adblock Plus and Adblock for Youtube. I have this thing against antivirus software, see. It's so… pointless! Just don't go to sketchy sites!

Just don't go to sketchy sites!Still, Adblock Plus / Adblock won't protect you from malicious iframes, XSS, clickjacking, or infected downloads, or opening malicious files. Besides, even legitimate sites can be hacked and offer up malicious stuff… *cough* I've got Adblock Plus and Adblock for Youtube. I have this Jamie Oliver *cough* xD

Anyway, it's easy to say “don't download bad things” and “don't open malicious files” but then you might find yourself scrutinizing every single download and such. Besides, even non-suspicious downloads can come with unexpected side effects (including adware).

Anyway, why are malicious iframes considered “touche”? xD for example, as I briefly mentioned earlier: https://blog.malwarebytes.org/exploits-2/2015/02/celebrity-chef-jamie-olivers-website-hacked-redirects-to-exploit-kit/ <– Legitimate site hacked with iframe that would likely not be blocked by Adblock

(is there a good guide for crafting google links like that? xD)

1) Search for a thing on google, right click on link, “copy link address” (or similar), paste
2) Touche: used as an acknowledgment of a hit by one's opponent.

I use an ad blocking program that I made myself (called Ad-B-Gone) that protects me from ads on pages I go to.

I have uBlock Origin and Privacy Badger. I don't really like antivirus software because they use heaps of resources. I used to have Trend Micro Titanium on my MacBook Pro but it used heaps of CPU which it made everything slow and it also made my computer get hot. I'm cautious when I download things (usually) and I've never installed any malware anyway.
If anyone can suggest a good free antivirus/antimalware program for OS X that doesn't use heaps of resources, that'd be great.

I have Trend Micro. Also I want a laptop of my own that's high performance because every computer my mum owns, she gets malware at least once and we end up spending hundreds of dollars if I don't use my l33t hax0rz skills. -sample text-

On my Windows partition I have the free version of Avast (silenced), free version of Malwarebytes, Windows Defender and Windows Firewall. That's actually a really good combo if you know how to set it up all correctly.
