Mac OS X 10.5.8
I am trying to use Scratch with some older Macs that run OS X 10.5.8
I cannot upgrade Flash and this is stopping me from running Scratch.
Does anyone know a workaround for this problem?
Thanks

I don't think so. I don't own a Mac, let alone an older one, so I wouldn't really know, but as a tech savvy I don't think so.

If you're using PowerPC, that is too old. Sorry!
If you're using Intel, consider upgrading to Snow Leopard (10.6).

I don't own a Mac but I think you'll have to upgrade it to later versions.

I own a mac, it works on mine, I'll ask what one it is, you might have to upgrade it. Is internet working at your house? That might be the problem.

Mac OS X 10.5.8
My browser / operating system: MacOS Macintosh X 10.9.4, Safari 7.0.5, Flash 17.0 (release 0)
That's mine and it works perfectly fine…
Try updating your mac. If you can't, I would ask and apple technician about the problem… Maybe… IF your parents let you…

Mac OS X Leopard (10.5) was released 5 years ago. It was the last version to run on PowerPC systems. The latest version is Yosemite (10.10).
They haven't told us if they're using PowerPC or Intel, so they may not be able to go past 10.5. Even then, some systems that old may go as far as Snow Leopard (10.6) or Lion (10.7).

I think the words “older macs” and “OS X 10.5.8” sum up that the Mac runs on PowerPC.
I think it's time to get a new computer, or go to Linux (if you can find a distro that supports PowerPC).
