What's the difference between Version 1.4 and 2.0?
I have some awesome ideas for scratch projects; but my friends said that I need version 2.0 to do it. What's the difference between 1.4 and 2.0. I've been using version 1.4 for two years now, and didn't even know there was a newer one. I want to know EVERYTHING before I download it.
Also, Is it still free?

What's the difference between Version 1.4 and 2.0?
Scratch is and always will be free to use. Scratch 2.0 is either the online version that uses Adobe Flash (click Create at the top of the page) or the downloadable editor that uses Adobe Air. You can download the offline version here. Look at the Scratch 2.0 wiki page for more information.

2.0 has cloning, cloud variables (variables that stay the same for everyone using the project), make-your-own-block, and even more.

Thanks, but this thread is over a year old - I don't think the owner is still looking for an answer. Please check the date before posting and don't bump up old threads. Thanks! but the costume editor is horrible when compared to the the scratch 1.4 costume editor
