Scratch 1.4 Disappearing Text then Black screen?

I was using scratch 1.4 and the text disappeared, and then there was a black screen and now i can't do anything except exit out.

I know we're upgrading to Scratch 2.0 now, but I'd just suggest if maybe the staff watch to see if the future downloadable 2.0 will have these problems.

The only way I could get out was open task manager and delete the running task for scratch.

Why don't you use Scratch 2.0?
